James is a researcher and lecturer in the FM subject group at Sheffield Hallam University. His background is in workspace evaluation, but he has also undertaken research into the Private Finance Initiative, corporate property outsourcing, project management and energy efficiency in buildings. James has recently completed a study into the role that HRM professionals can play in decisions relating to the physical working environment. 

On weekends you will mostly find him running up hills, round a football pitch or after an elusive Sheffield Wednesday victory.
